The Connecticut Wing Fest is back for year two! This event will bring together the best wings in Connecticut to the Matrix Conference Center in Danbury on January 30th from 6PM till 9PM. Attendees will be given a day full of contests, food, music and fun. Local restaurants will compete for the title of “Connecticut’s Best Wings“, determined by a panel of judges through a blind taste test. You can sample the wings too, and then vote for your favorite in the People’s Choice Award competition.
Tickets will be sold in advance for $15. With your ticket you will receive 12 wing vouchers which are good for 1 wing from any of our participating restaurants. Additional vouchers will be available for purchase! We encourage you to try all the wings, so we recommend that you get 1 wing from each restaurant. However, It’s YOUR choice!
FAQ
Q: Is this a 21 and over event?
A: No, children 12 and under will be allowed in for free and can purchase wing vouchers if they would like to eat any of the wings. However, keep in mind that it might be quite loud and beer will be served.
Q: You guys didn’t have enough beer last year. Will you have more this year?
A: YES, we will have plenty of beer and plenty of serving stations to keep lines at a minimum. We will also have plenty of beer choices for you to choose from!
Q: It’s a Wing Fest and you ran out of wings last year! Will this happen again??
A: We have tripled our order of wings this year and have put measures in place to make sure that wing vouchers are redeemed for just ONE wing.
Q: Can I only purchase advance tickets online?
A: Short answer: “Yes”. We’ve been able to make special accommodations for a few folks who have told us that they’ve love to attend, but don’t use a computer at all. However, to help manage logistics on the day of the event, we’d like to have everyone registered through our online system. All online payments are handled securely through Ticket Leap and you will receive an email with confirmation of your registration once it is complete.
Q: Can I purchase tickets at the door?
A: Yes. However space will be limited. We will be purchasing food in advance and will only account for a limited number of day-of ticket purchases. In addition, all ticket sales on the day of the event will be $20 per person. Advance ticket sales are $15 per person.
Q: How do I get the wings?
A: Upon entry, you will receive 12 wing vouchers which are good for 1 wing from any of our participating restaurants. Additional vouchers will be available for purchase! We encourage you to try all the wings, so we recommend that you try as many restaurants as possible. However, It’s YOUR choice! If you’re still hungry, you may purchase additional vouchers for only $2 each..
Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: Though we love pets, we will have to turn you away from the event if you bring your furry friend.
Q: How does the people’s choice vote work?
A: Cast your vote for Connecticut’s Best Wing by dropping the token you are given upon admission into your favorite restaurants bucket. You will need to submit your vote by 8:00PM to make your vote count!
